What can you do and see in Yangon?
One of Myanmar's most important towns is Yangon (also known as Rangoon). For Yangon, we had no expectations. Well, after we get back, we've got a lot of travel tips from Yangon. It' the most important sanctuary in Myanmar. Shwedagon' s swingagon is enormous and can be seen from many parts of the town. We had visited several hundred churches in Southeast Asia and had expected nothing unusual from this pass. It was the most wonderful buddhistic shrine we have ever seen!
Shwedagon' is enormous and mammoth. It is 99 meters high. Myanmari believe it was constructed more than 2,600 years ago, but this information is not supported by the historian. Archaeological research has shown that Shwedagon is 1,000 - 1,500 years old. In the course of the ages the church was destroyed several time.
Burma believes that this place contains relicts of the four former Buddhas, making it the holiest place in all of Myanmar. IMPORTANT YANGON TRAVEL TIPS: You have to be barefooted to get to the Myanmar sanctuary. SWEDAGON Pagoda is open daily from 4am to 10pm.
It is much smaller than the Shwedagon pit, but we really liked it! As there are no aliens there, you can see the locals pray and linger in a cloakroom. Sule is believed by the Myanmar population to have been constructed before the Shwedagonagh. It doesn't make any difference - this sanctuary is wonderful and it' definitely rewarding to visit, no matter the age.
The Sule Pagoda is open daily from 6 am to 10 pm. Maha Bandula Street Nightspot. The Sule Pagoda is the principal street of Maha Bandula. Those who like the nightlife should definitely go to Maha Bandula after sunset. Dine on authentic Myanmar bears, taste delicious homemade dishes and even deep-fry beef!
It is also very contentious - some blame the wildlife there for having very difficult conditions. We have no idea after we have visited the Yangon Sanctuary. But, ultimately, we travel to do something special. We' re still not sure if the visit to Yangon Wildlife Park was a good or not.
The Yangon Sanctuary is open daily from 8am to 6pm. The Kandawgyi Lake and Nature Park is the most tranquil area of Yangon. Great Royal Lake is one of the largest in Yangon and is located near Shwedagon and Yangon Zoos. After the visit of the pit you can go to the Kandawgyi Lake and then to the animal park.
IMPORTANT YANGON TRAVEL TIPS: Yangon is the most interesting area of China. Maha Bandula Night Fair, Kheng Hock Keong and Sule Pagoda temples are located in the area of China City, so it is definitely a good idea to go to all these places in one go. Yangon is the most important, oldest and biggest ancient and ancient China sanctuary.
