Travel advice & recommendations from Yangon
Yangon's congested roads are nodding in front of their former settlement and still pay tribute to a traditional city. Begin your outing with a basin of Mohinga, a delicious seafood soup known as Myanmar's home-cooked casserole. In the morning you will drive to Chaukhtatgyi Paya. We continue to the gold stupa of the Shwedagon Pagoda.
Probably the most impressing of the pagodas in Yangon. End your days with a cocktail at Sky Bar, near the Sule Lagoon at the top of Sakura Tower for an amazing nighttime look at the illuminated goldagoda. Get there early, as the first sell of the morning is a good thing, vendors are more willing to give you a discount before the other sell.
Get on the Circle Train for a three-hour drive through the farmlands, outskirts and hills beyond the boundaries of Yangon.
