Hello Phyo, thanks for this information, but are you sure about the cost it seems very high.
Will it be the cost for one man? And, indeed, the boundaries of Kaw Thaung, Myawaddy and Tachileik are already open, so do you know if this firm already has a trip to Thailand through these three? Hello Max, the prize is approved and only for one and only. They are still travelling through Kaw Thaung, Myawaddy and Tachileik.
Some telephone numbers of this firm are available here. My dear Ko Phyo Wai Tun, do you have any updates on the Myawady voyage for Myanmar pass holder and bus timetable?
Agency starts shore excursions between Yangon and Bangkok
From Saturday, travellers can drive from the Thai capitol to Rangoon and other Burma towns in a one-way landtour. Journeymen will soon be able to make an easy cross-country voyage between Bangkok and Burma's towns. On Saturday, a Bangkok-based tour operator will start its first travels from the Thai capitol to Rangoon, Mandalay, Bagan, Pa-an in Karen State, Dawei in the Tenasserim Division and Moulmein and the Golden Rock in Mon State.
Vega Traveller also is planning a trip from Rangoon, Pa-an and Moulmein to Bangkok, with the possibility of travelling further to the Kambodian town of Siem Reap. This will be the first tour operator to provide individual tickets from Burma to Bangkok.
Currently, busses from various towns stop in the Thai city of Mae Sot, and travellers must reserve their own ticket to Bangkok from there. "The journeys are scheduled to begin in February and we are already taking reservations," says Thant Zin, ticket agent at Vega Travel Myanmar. A Vega Travel can help you apply for a Thai tourist visas for a 5,000 Kyat (US$5) supplement to the $40 for visas.
From Bangkok to Rangoon, a one-way fare is 1,500 Bahts ($45). To Bangkok from Burma, Bangkok is 55,000 Kyat from Rangoon, 45,000 Kyat from Pa-an and 40,000 Kyat from Moulmein. It'?s going to take 60,000 kyat to get from Rangoon to Siem Reap. It takes about 24hrs to get from Rangoon to Bangkok.
Travellers leave Rangoon at 6am and reach the Myawaddy, Burma's frontier city, around 4pm or 5pm. Once checked in at the Department of Migration in Mae Sot, a double-decker bus will leave about three hour later, at 7 pm or 8 pm, and be arriving in Bangkok the next mornings.
Travellers can drive eight to nine additional hrs to Siem Reap from there. Excursions are planned on dates when busses are permitted to cross the Dawna chain to Myawaddy, Vega Travel says. Burma's Ministry of Immigration and Population in August said that four doors along the country's east frontier would allow foreigners to travel and out of Burma with a visa.
Previously, travellers could only fly between different states. Years before, the former army regimes had limited traffic internationally, deterring immigrants and trying to restrict entry to the conflict-ridden ethnical areas along the borders. Officers and intergovernmental leaders said last year that the move to open the borders to long-distance travellers would stimulate tourist activity and ease the flow of overseas investments into intergovernmental areas and the like.
