I liked it, so interesting and so much happens on the boat and at the stations and the towns you pass. Aside from the bouncing parts, your pipe will give you an impression it was a convenient journey. It' slows down than the bus, but nice rail trips, you can get up and run around.

Hello, thank you for the information on this article, we have used some of them today to take Yangon to Mawlamyine. And we got bus passes at 12:00 this afternoon. It was about 6 spots plus the backseat empty when we went. At the bus terminal of Mawlamyine there are many motorcycle taxes and a few motorized trishaw's for the ride into the city.
Luxurious, the more luxurious ones have only three places compared to the standardfour.
By bus to Mawlamyine
From Yangon there are frequent busses to Mawlamyine. Since the opening in February 2005, all busses cross the Thanlwin Bridge directly to Mawlamyine. Mawlamyine, although only 165 kilometres from Yangon, is point-to-point across the Gulf of Mottama, is 245 kilometres across land and the drive lasts about 7 hrs, which includes a brief stop for a snack and a rest in the bath.
The most important ones are PTT and Man Dalar Minn Express with PTT, which offer a specific PTT bus configuration with more legroom with 3 adjacent chairs, with two chairs to the right of the corridor and one chair to the south.
Ticket for PETT can be bought at the southern end of Aung San Arena opposite Yangon Railway Railroad and cost 8000 kyats to Mawlamyine. From their own terminals on War Dan Street, just outside the town, Yangon is served by public transport at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. and arrives in Mawlamyine at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. respectively.
PTT's pickup and drop-off at 10,000k yat leaves Mawlamyine at 9am and 10pm and arrives in Yangon at 4am and 5am. The Dalar Minn Express also features new, air-conditioned coaches and is very much loved on this itinerary. Mawlamyine Bus Terminal is situated in Myay Ni Gone, near the new railway terminal on the east side of the mountain crest, about 3 km from the city center.
In order to get to the centre of Zeigyi, you can take a motorbike taxi (seikeh) for approx. 1000k yat or if you have baggage, then a tan leg can be rented for approx. 3000kyat.
