Sightseeing with the water bus
Yangon's new water bus system will provide services to the Hlaing Rivers township and Yangon city centre area. Nevertheless, the services have the prerequisites for a sightseeing trip in Yangon. Every Yangon tourist who hops aboard a water bus for an hours or three will see firsthand the city life on the Hlaing river.
The home of the pristine port is an ecological waterway. Dwarves in contrast, small boat passing by, full of natives dressed in Thanaka. There is also a singular prospect on Yangon's varied architectonic ?skyline? to see. The ferryboats run from early in the mornings till later in the evenings, 7 nights a week.
There are 300MMK per ticket and foreigner ticket is 1.300MMK (about $1USD). Ticket is a firm, unique, reasonable prize. At bus stop 4, Shwe Padauk or Hlaing Terminal, we got on a water bus one Sunday at 7:30 am. There was never more than an 8th of the boat and at least half of the guests were native family.
Sightseeing instead of shuttle. New lifevests were piled up on the racks. There were open doors, ideal for sightseeing and photography. There is another vessel in the water bus pool that is closed and has shaded glass. Not so good for sightseeing. When you drive all the way to the end of the road in Insein, don't wait for a taxi back to the city centre.
