The Yangon Pictures Guide, Myanmar - Burma

Yangon's Mahar Bandhula Rd with the Sule Pagoda at the end. Notice that Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, is Burma's biggest town, but NOT the official Yangon Naypyidaw metropolis that was moved from Yangon to Naypyidaw in 2006. Doing in Yangon? There is not much of a brief reply, although one cannot help thinking of Yangon, as it is the gate to the dazzling hinterland.

Road conditions are not very interesting, however, even if the roads are very busy, with ropes and very tiring outbuildings. The National Museum is home to two thousand years of treasures and Myanmar's first ever deck of pagodas - the Great Golden Shwedagon - is amazing and a few hour's work.

Yangon road that approaches the beautiful Shwedagon Piago estate, the most important place of worship in Myanmar. The Yangon Puagoda (Paya), surrounded by Buddhisthrines. But it' definitely a good deal. Myanmar's most precious culture is the Shwedagon Ark. A whole afternoon can comfortably be enjoyed in this shimmering hill ensemble, where a crowd of artful sanctuaries surround the 326-foot pit in which eight of Buddha's hair are inlaid.

Everything that shines here is pure golden, more than 60 tonnes of compressed pure golden leaves, while the tip of the tip is set with more than 5,000 jewels, stones and saphires.

Yangon, Myanmar's capitol since 1885, is located in lower Myanmar on the bank of the Ayeyarwady Riviera. The city' s cultural legacy is preserved, as little has happened in the city in recent years. Its main feature is the Shwedagonagoda, which contains a giant 107 metre long stupa of 60 tons of sheet-glass.

Further interesting places of interest are the National Museum, the royal seas with the Karaweik stoneboat and the colorful center of the cityscape. Yangon has not been the mainland of Myanmar since 2005. Naypyidaw, a new 320 km to the northern part of the country, is the new capitol.
