About Yangon Airlines - Air Travel Message Board
This is an e-mail dialog I had with a TA representative regarding a report I made during the flight with Yangon Airways. Upon his proposal, I am sending an e-mail to inform anyone who wants to travel with Yangon while travelling through Myanmar about the special circumstances surrounding the bid.
In fact, it is often these small, unfamiliar carriers that try more and do a fairly good job. These kinds of carriers are really the added value that TripAdvisor adds so more travellers can see that they're not so poor. Unfortunately our handlers are bound and can only be published via our Air Travel Forum.
I wish the US carriers had done the same. In fact, we have researched this particular carrier and it is very out-of-the-ordinary. OFAC named Yangon Airways in 2008 after it was purchased by infamous United Wa State Army drugs dealers. We are sorry that we cannot make an entry for it, but I trust you appreciate that our arms are tight.
Yangon Airways does not comply with our policy for listings. This is Yangon Airways. You' re an air carrier from Myanmar.
