Stop the terrorist Buddhism in Myanmar now.

South of Bangladesh, where 700,000 Rohingya from Myanmar - a land where Buddhism is the state religion- have escaped into insecure Iraq. A Rohingya fugitive we talked to said: Rohingyas are a Moslem ethnical minorities who have been living in Myanmar's west Rakhine state for many years.

However, the extent of Rohingya's sufferings goes beyond all arguments and justifications. I' ve been hearing tales of their village only a few kilometres away in Myanmar. Satelite images show the destruction of Myanmar's towns, but nothing can tell the reality of scared and shattered lives without family, country and living.

To the Rohingya tribe I encountered is "Buddhist terror," an unsanctified coalition of Myanmar's armies, friars and Rakhine Buddhists. This organisation's powers and the merging of regional religions, armed forces and state bodies are so great that worried friars and normal civilians are afraid for their life when they take the floor.

Myanmar and Bangladesh continue to experience a major economic downturn. It must come from likeable administrations, non-governmental organisations and simple folk. In addition to assistance, we must call on our leaders and our multinational organisations to use all possible non-violent means - penalties, eccotts, letters, vigil and all forms of ethical pressures - to convince and force the Myanmar administration to alter its policy of repression.

Not only for the Rohingya tribe, but also for other Myanmar minority tribes - the Kachin, Shan, Karen and others - who also face homicide and burnt soil. Rohingyas and these minority groups want the same: security and non-violence, nationality and statutory prerogatives in a multi-ethnic Myanmar and fairness - responsibility before an inter-national court for the atrocity offenders.

Tell the US Congress, UN and Myanmar's faith and government agencies that the terrorism must now stop.
