Listing of the largest lying Buddha statues in Asia

Over the years I have been visiting a number of lying Buddha sculptures and I thought it would be interesting to find out how many there are still. I' ve searched the web to see if there's a final listing, but there doesn't seem to be one. This could be because there are so many of these sculptures.

Though I began compiling a schedule, I gave up when I was 30 years old because I kept coming up with new ones. The smallest lying Buddha I have come across is the Buddha in Shanghai, China, which is only 96 centimeters long but made of valuable iodine.

Largest lying Buddha in the worid

Approximately 20 km from Manlamyine is Win Sein Taw Ya, the largest lying Buddha in the worid. It is a giant 30 meter high and 180 meter long sculpture, which can be seen many kilometers away. With their backs turned to the incoming visitor, they look as if they are approaching the great Buddha.

Beside the sculpture it is necessary to keep your boots and you can walk into the Buddha and through some rooms. At the opposite side they began to build another Buddha, which should have the same height, but for the time being the Buddha is not being built. There is a patio next to Buddha's face where you can see the view of the Win Sein Taw Ya and the many stupa and pictures of Buddha in the wood.
