Burma is a country that suffers regular hurricanes, storms, floods, mudslides, seismic events, droughts and wildfires. In the last 10 years Myanmar has been hit by two large quakes, three heavy hurricanes, flooding and other minor outbreaks. Between 2015-2016, the El Niño is one of the worst phenomena since 1950, with a considerable impact on the weather.

In various parts of Asia and the Pacific, this led to periods of severe droughts with cyclone outbreaks.

Q: During the last (24) hour period the weather was partially overcast in the eastern Shan and Kayah states, in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi regions there was a lot of precipitation or thunderstorm, in Upper Sagaing and Yangon regions, in Kayin state, dispersed in Bago region and in Southern Shan state, insulated in the other regions and states with severe thunderfalls.

The daily highs (3°C) were above the mean in the lower Sagaing area, (3°C) below the mean in Chin State and about the mean in May in the other regions and states. Naypyitaw (9.6), Yangon (9.0) and Mandalay (10.0) were the highest ultraviolet indices. Significant precipitation was Launglone (4.25) inch, Myeik (2.64) inch, Dawei (2.36) inch, Kawthong (2.28) inch, Nyaungtone (1.93) inch, Kyeikkhame (1.85) inch, Yangon (North Dagon) (1.50) inch, Moekok (1.46) inch, Myaungmya and Chaungsone (1.34) inch.

perspective available until may 29, 2016: Rains or thunderstorms are distributed in Taninthayi region and Mon state, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayin states, Shan state (East and South) and insulated in the other regions and states with the probability of occasional severe storms in Taninthayi region and Mon state.

MARINE STATE: Gusts with calm to harsh seas are currently probably Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along the coast of Mon-Taninthayi. In gusts, the maximum windspeed of the surfaces can be (35)m/hr. prognosis for naypyitaw and tilting booring area for may 29, 2016:
