This pagoda climbs 99 metres and is an impressing view. In order to go to the pagoda, I had to borrow a coat (htamein), because I came with my panty. Then in the afternoons I went to visit her and came in good season to observe the sunset from the pagoda. And what else is there to say about this huge sparkling pagoda at the NPT!

Uppatasanti Pagoda is almost a copy of the Shwedagon Pagoda (Golden Pagoda) in Yangon. It is also known as the Peace Pagoda and is 99 metres high. The Uppatasanti is a tract vers which means "protection from catastrophes" and is repeated in times of crisis or in the face of a strange onslaught. One of the most important relics is a Buddha's teeth, which was provided by China.
Further attractions are the Maha Hsutaungpyae Buddha picture, a high flagpole, 108 sacred Bo arboretum, a gardens with images of Buddhas and a market.
Uppatasanti Pagoda is 325 ft high and gives Nay Pyi Taw a certain amount of sophistication. It was inaugurated on 9 March 2009. The pagoda district contains imposing sacred buildings such as Maha Hsutaungpyae Buddha Image in Maha Pasadabhumi Gandhakuti Chamber; four pictures of Buddha in the pagoda cavern; the first discus.
Nirvana of Lord Buddha; 108 foot high flagpole; Bo tree orchard with Maha Bo tree and the pictures of 28 Buddhas; the gardens of 108 holy Bo trees; Marlini Mingala lake with the Shin Uppagutta room therein; Withongaraa ordination hall; Cetiyapala room; Sangha Yama homes; Sasana Maha Beikmandaw building; Pitakat building and religous archive.
Ceremonials to bestow sacred title on important friars and alms-giving to Sangha members were performed on a large scale with the head of state in Sasana Maha Beikmandaw Buiding.
