Health travel information for people travelling abroad from the UK. When planning a trip to Laos and Myanmar (Burma), read this guide to find out how the seasons can affect your travel plans. Best of Burma Upon arriving we drive to the central Rembrandt Hotel & Towers (4T), where we spend the next three afternoons. On a sightseeing trip through Bangkok this mornings we will be introduced to the high points, among them the Grand Palace. Afternoons are free to discover this charming town.

In Kanchanaburi we will today be visiting the well-known Kwai River overpass.

Included in our tour is the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum and a trip on the Death Railway. In the morning we go to the Hell Fire Pass. Late in the afternoons we will go back to Bangkok. Transfers to the Aiport for our flights to Mandalay. The Mandalay Hill Resort (4T) is our basis for three days.

Leaving our accommodation in Mandalay, we spend the rest of the day enjoying the time. The supper was organized for us in a souvenir shop. Nowadays, we are visiting the jewellery market, one of the few South East Asia fairs where you can still find an genuine adventure. At the end of the day we take a horse-drawn coach tour to discover the surrounding area and the historic buildings and stop in the 175 hectare, wonderfully laid out Botanical Garden.

We' re returning to Mandalay for supper in a typical Mandalay restaurants. We' re crossing the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing. The Win Unity Hôtel (3 days), where supper is served, is our overnight accommodation. We' ll spend the next three days at the Areindmar Hôtel (3 days). We' re having our luncheon at a nearby place.

In the afternoons we have free time. After lunch we head to the beautiful vineyards and the Red Mountain Estate vineyard for a winetasting session with stunning vistas of Lake Inle and the Depression. On Inle Lake, one of Burma's most stunning places, you will see stilt shelters, swimming pools and fisherman showing their unparalleled foot waxing crafts.

Sanctum Inle lake resort (4T+) is our three-night-resort. We will take a relaxed cruise to Sagar this mornings to see the'sunken' Stupa and see a small cloister. Early departure this early today to attend the early market of Inle Lake, which revolves around the towns of the reservoir.

Today lunch is taken in the home of an Inthar familiy in a lakeside stilt home, in the typical ground sit. We' ll return to Heho for our flights to Yangon, where we'll spend two overnight stays at the magnificent Chatrium Hotel Royal lake (4T).

In the afternoon we visit the Bogyoke Market. Have a goodbye supper tonight.
