Train from Pyin Oo Lwin to Hsipaw

From Pyin Oo Lwin to Hsipaw

There you can get off and take a shared taxi to PyinOoLwin. I suggest, if you don't have a private cab, take the train to Pyin Oo Lwin. Train journey through the Gokteik Bridge in Myanmar From Mandalay to Hsipaw we knew we could travel by train, but as it is a 12-hour train ride, we decided to take a locomotive from Mandalay to Pyin Oo Lwin, which is only a 1.5-hour ride, and then continue by train to Hsipaw. Oo Pyin Lwin is a very enchanting town with several colonial-style cottages.

On the next morning, we purchased our train ticket at the station: 2,750 ($3) for a luxury and 1,200 ($1.50) for a regular ticket. Leaving the train yard, kids from both sides of the track beckoned to us and yelled "Mingalarbar!

This train trip itself lasts about seven hour and leads you with increasing flight height through wonderful, scenic scenery. It was a great chance to see the locals. Sellers who sold all kinds of foods and refreshments walked up and down the hallways, balanced their goods most on their head and maintained an outstanding equilibrium despite the rough drive.

You can also see the typical way of living outside the train: peasants on their farms, pets walking around, kids in front of their homes, etc. On the way we paused a few stops and gave ourselves the opportunity to walk for about 4-5 min outside the train and extend our feet.

There was a friendly chat with a friar who travels to Kyauk Me (a stop before Hsipaw). A new one can begin in Hsipaw after this adventurous game!

Oo Pyin Lwin to Hsipaw and Hsipaw to Inle Lake - Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) Message Board

Hello, I take the train from Pyin Oo Lwin to Hsipaw on April 5th and would like to take the night coach to Inle See from Hsipaw on the same morning. Do you have an over night coach that corresponds to the train timetable? Thank you to everyone, I think the coach leaves around 16.00, so you should be able to make it, but not sure how to reserve it in time, probably your guest house in Mandalay can do that for you.

I had a hitch figuring out where it came from, went to the "bus station" and they said no, went back to the guest house they had said on the high street, but then they said no there. I went back to the guest house and he called someone and then took me to a place, the coach came after about 5 minutes.

In Hsipaw there is a kind of busstop on the major street near the watchtower, about 3 block before on the Mandalay side. Not far from the train depot, about 5 minutes on foot. The train will arrive in Hsipaw at 14.55 and that won't take up much of your precious train schedule if the train is a little later.

What if you stay one at Hsipaw to be sure. Should I get off at Kyaukme train yard so I have more free space for the coach?
