Lithuanian time?

Lituania is a baltics state in northern Europe. The coast opens to the sea in the western part and is bordered by Latvia in the northern part, Belarus in the eastern part, Poland in the south-western part and the Russian enclave, the Kaliningrad region in the western part. Lituania recently (2004) acceded to the EU and NATO to repair the damage caused by the repressive USSR system.

Though not often referred to, Lithuania is the only Baltics with more than eight hundred years of continued coverage in this particular area of Europe. His name was first cited a thousand years ago, in 1009. Lithuania is in a less privileged situation, right on the border between East and West, and has fought some formidable struggles to secure its autonomy and viability.

It survived: in the Middle Ages Lithuania was the biggest and wealthiest state on the Continental Europe. It was also an important science center of Europe. Vilnius opened its first campus in 1579 and was also the benchmark for Europe's contemporary legal system.
