Myanmar, Theinni

Theinni, or Hsenwi, is a city in the northerly Shan state of Burma, near the northerly shore of the Nam Tu River and today the center of the municipality of Hsenwi in the Lashio district. Following the disintegration of the old Shan Empire in Tali by Kublai Khan, Theinni seems to have been the center of the Shan Autonomous Kingdoms with various capital cities in the Shweli River and Nam Tu RiverValues.

The Burmese ended this Kawsampi empire around 1738, and the land was split up into several states, with Ava's orders of appoint. Theinni has been transformed from being the most mighty and densely populated Shan state by rebellion and civilian warfare to a state of anxious devastation. Hsenwi's old capitol is only a few kilometres away and shows that it is a large and well-built city.
