We are the first Myanmar-based research company with over 25 years of expertise in understanding the Myanmar markets, communities and their diverse underpinnings.
We are the first Myanmar-based research firm with over 25 years of expertise in understanding the Myanmar markets, communities and their diverse underpinnings. The MSR was formally founded in 1995 as a privately held business, but even before there was a growing need for information from overseas businesses.
In all these years we have gathered in-depth experiences in two areas that together allow a comprehensive view of the overall picture of the Myanmar region - beyond the prosperous city of Yangon: For UN organisations and non-governmental organisations we research on many different subjects in order to impart the necessary know-how and learning. Incidentally, the MSR personnel were the first to travel to the delta area after Cyclone Nargis struck the land in 2008 to carry out a rapid assessment.
That is why we have established the Myanmar Nargis Information Centre to give NGOs all the information they need to act quickly.
