Myanmar Storybook Trailer: Doctor explores modern Myanmar through poetry
It will be premiered at the Rotterdam International Filmfestival on Friday 27 January. Myanmar (former Burma) came out of 50 years of army rule in 2011, but the land is still leaking its sores over five years later. Burma Storybook" is a new research into Myanmar's post-dictatorship based on Burma's poesy, the country's most famous artistic genre, in particular the work of Maung Aung Pwint, a writer and writer and activist who lived much of his career in jail.
Petr Lom tells the tale of Pwint, from his exiled politics to his son's reunification, as well as a portrayal of a changing land, a new realm that still left much inequity. "Burma Storybook" will be premiered at the Rotterdam International Filmfestival on Friday 27 January at 8 p.m. The movie will also be shown on Saturday 28 January at 2.30 p.m. and will include a post-screening talk in cooperation with Poetry International and will be shown for the last and last show at 3.30 p.m. on 1 February.
