Thai Baht and Myanmar KyatBaht Thai and Myanmar Kyat
Even flights from Mandalay International had no moneychanges. Always switching undesired Kyat on takeoff from Mandalay at the BEFORE checking in.
Sawazdee, you can trade Kyat for Baht at Super Rich in Bangkok or at the country's major airfields. The solution for the other travellers with this issue, as I recently had, is at the Aiport. You can tell you that nobody changes the Myanmar at Bangkok University ( "BKK"), but on the B Stock, Terminals 3 (international) there is Super Rich and although the Myanmar language is not mentioned, it is changed to Thai Bath and then to dolars hips or other languages.
Seemingly changing SuperRich naughtyats, it's on their website. At MAndalay International there are lots of coin changers, just go to the terminal, about 6 times the last one I was there, how do you think you can switch currency on your way there? There are a few small currency exchanges on the Chiang Mai Nightside Bazaar Street that make really strange currency.

These include trading in the frontier areas, said U Bo Bo Bo Bo Nge, Vice-Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) on 28 August.
"In order to curb the use of Thai baht in domestic payment transactions in the land, as well as in frontier areas, orders have been authorised to allow the conversion of Thai baht to Myanmar Kyat at currency counter. He made his declaration in answer to the question from Amyotha Hluttaw, Kayin State No.6 Constituency regarding the administration of the currency used for payment in the land, which included frontier areas such as Muse, Tachileik Myawaddy, Kawthoung and Tamu.
New rules enacted to decrease the use of FX on a local level and to preserve monetary instability have been filed with the President's Bureau and the statement has been circulated to state and local government, he said. Exceptions, however, are traders in the Kayin and Shan states, which divide the Thai frontier.
With a view to promoting commerce, the Department of Commerce allows merchants in these states to open banking in Myanmar Kyat, US dollar and Thai Baht, U Bo Bo Bo Nge said. CBM is also formally approving operations with China's Japanese yuan and India's rupiah at the currency counter in the areas bordering China and India.
CBM currently allows the conversion of US dollar to Kyat in the states and regions. On 27 July there were 1,345 such desks in the frontier areas.
