The Taxco de Alarcón (usually just called Taxco) (Spanish ['tasko] (help-info)) is a small town and administration centre of the municipality of Taxco de Alarcón in the state of Guerrero, Mexico.

The Taxco is situated in the north-central part of the state, 36 kilometers from the center of Iguala, 135 kilometers from the mainland Chilpancingo and 170 kilometers south-west of Mexico Citi. Silversmith ing was revived in Taxco by the American William Spratling, who settled in the 1920' and founded Silver Art studios and exports objects, mainly to the United States.
