Tavistock's early work coincides with that of the Tavistock Clinic, as many of its employees worked on new major research during the Second World Peace and the Institute was born. The Tavistock Clinic employees play a pivotal role in the psychiatric ward of the UK Army during the Great Depression.
A number of prominent personalities had been visiting the WOSBs during the conflict, leaving room for counselling work, but the clinic personnel also intended to become part of the National Health Service when it was founded, and they were alerted that such counselling and research would not be possible under the patronage of the NHS.
For this reason, the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations was founded in 1947 to conduct organizational research in the integration of the clinic into the NHS. Tavistock Institute is associated with the most frequently associated with the Beatles and Rolling Stones plotting. The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations has two volumes on this subject:
