Tansania (), formally the United Republic of Tanzania (Swahili: Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania), is a land in eastern Africa within the African Great Lakes area. Its northern border is with Kenya and Uganda, its western border with Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo, its southern border with Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique and its western border with the Indian Ocean.
Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, is situated in northeastern Tanzania. In 2016, the United Nations put the Tanzanian people at 55. Tanzania is a supreme state with a constitution and since 1996 its Dodoma has been its formal capitol, where the President's Bureau, the National Assembly and some departments are in.
Tanzania is a de facto one-party state with the Chama Cha Mapinduzi democracy, a coalition of socialists and democrats in the country. The country is hilly and thickly wooded in the northeast, where Kilimanjaro is sited. Tanzania is home to three of Africa's Great Lakes. At the end of the nineteenth centuries Germany captured the present Tanzanian region (without Zanzibar) and integrated it into the German Eastern Africa (GEA).
The Mandate Commission of the Council of the European Union ratified this Convention on 16 July 1919. On 12 July 1919, the Commission for Mandates approved that the small Kionga Triangle southern of the Rovuma River be handed over to Mozambique in Portugal,:243 and thus become part of the Mozambique state. Versailles Charter was initialled on 28 July 1919, although it did not enter into force until 10 January 1920.
On 29 October of the same year the name of the land was changed to United Republic of Tanzania ("Tan" comes from Tanganyika and "Zan" from Zanzibar). From 1970 to 1975, it contributed to financing and building the 1,860 kilometre TAZARA railway from Dar es Salaam to Zambia.
However, from the end of the seventies onwards, the Tanzanian economies deteriorated against the backdrop of an internationally challenging financial situation that affected both industrialised and emerging countries. The country is hilly and thickly wooded in the north-east, where Kilimanjaro is sited. Tanzania is home to three of Africa's Great Lakes.
Tanzania is a large plateaus with flatlands and farmland. Tanzania has a very different climatic environment. Whitest season is between November and February (25-31 C or 77.0-87. 8 F), while coolest season is between May and August (15-20 C or 59-68 F). In Zanzibar, the legislature on all non-union affairs is the responsibility of the House of Representatives (according to the Tanzanian Constitution): 106(3) or the Council on Legislation (according to the Zanzibar Constitution).
Tanzania's economic base is strongly rooted in the agricultural sector, which was 24 in 2013. 109 ] The Tanzanian economy depends on agricultural production, but climatic changes have affected its agricultural sector. Tanzania's first "National Science and Technology Policy" was adopted in 1996. In 2008, under the auspices of the One UN Initiative, the ministries and agency of UNESCO and Tanzania drew up a set of suggestions for the revision of the "National Science and Technology Policy".
Tanzania spent 0.38 per cent of GNP on research and innovation in 2010. In 2013, the worldwide mean was 1.7 per cent of GNP. In 2010, Tanzania had 69 scientists (in headcounts) per million people. By 2014, Tanzania had 15 per million Tanzanian citizens published in international cataloged periodicals, according to Thomson Reuters' Web of Science (Science Citation Index Expanded).
The Dodoma (410,956 inhabitants) is situated in the center of Tanzania, is the capitol of the state and houses the National Assembly. 174 ] The most favorite pro field game organization in Dar es Salaam are the Young Africans F.C. and Simba S.C.
