The Shwedagon Pagoda is located in the heart of Yangon. The golden stupa of Shwedagon, the pagoda with the holy hair of Buddha, has dominated the landscape of Rangoon for centuries. Shwedagon' s origins are lost in antiquity, its age is unknown.

What is the Shwedagon Pagoda?
