New SilkAir takes over Scoot's Yangon-Ffl├╝ge, Singapore News & Top Stories

Singapore- SilkAir will operate five weekly services to Yangon, Myanmar, which are currently run by the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group. SilkAir and Scoot made this announcement in a declaration on Monday (9 October). SilkAir, the SIA' s local branch, already flies non-stop 10 departures per wk to Yangon and 3 departures per wk via Mandalay in Myanmar.

SilkAir will increase its Yangon operation to 15 non-stop weekly services with the addition of Scoot's Yangon services. Persons booked on Scoot's Yangon flight on and after 29 October will be placed on SilkAir. If you are a customer of ours, please call the following number. Lee Lik Hsin, head of the scooter, said:

"Scoot's transmission of Scoot's Yangon flights to SilkAir will optimize the utilization of capacity within the Singapore Airlines Group and free Scoot's assets for other grid deployment plans." Silk Air Leader Foo Chai Woo said: "It is our pleasure to provide our clients with extra flight frequency to Yangon, full of our full range of flight facilities, which includes free luggage, in-flight catering and in-flight on board through our SilkAir Studio".

Scoot will no longer be flying to Myanmar with the shuttle and its route will then include 60 targets in 16 states. Before that Scoot had previously stated that it would be flying on 29 October in Kuching in Malaysia, on 19 December in Honolulu in the USA and on 2 February 2018 in Kuantan in Malaysia.

It will also offer non-stop summer services to Harbin from 1 December and Singapore-Sapporo from 3 November.
