Pyin Oo Lwin Day TripOo Lwin Pyin Day Tour
Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar Day Trip
The escape from the Mandalay Municipality in Myanmar is not so difficult. From Mandalay we made a few day excursions, but the most cool (at least in temperature) was our trip to Pyin Oo Lwin. The Pyin Oo Lwin is a top terminus in the UK. This was a popular week-end trip for Britons who lived in Myanmar during the UK war.
Situated in the hills, it is colder and the atmosphere clean. In any case, we spend a relatively brief day walking the roads, having a meal, drinking milk shakes (the best dairies in the area are probably the best in Myanmar) and visiting the very beautiful town. For me, one of the high points of the journey was at least the round trip.
It is a very cheap and memorable way to go. Although we drove down the mountain, the journey seemed to take much longer. That trip probably made me ill for two whole week, but I have no regrets.
Excursion to Pyin Oo Lwin
This is a day trip from Mandalay to the mountain city of Pyin Oo Lwin, renowned for its UK legacy and amazing falls. Mornings you will discover the colonial-style Pyin Oo Lwin building, where George Orwell once resided, and the magnificent Botanical Garden with a large selection of flower.
At the end of an exiting day you return to Mandalay in the evenings.
Grand half day trip from Pyin Oo Lwin - Review of the Anisakan Falls, Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo), Myanmar
It is a little far away from Pyin Oo Lwin, but the falls are definitely deserving. When you return, you can either go on foot or rent a motorcycle for about 5000 Kyat. It' a nice view, and you can definitely go for a swim! It' a long stroll from the highway and a little difficult on the way back.
It is a big and nice and relaxed cascade, but we didn't just sit around..... Wonderful waterfalls. 45 minutes to descent & ascent approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes. When you see this cascade, you are feeling refreshed. Get plenty of sodas!
Untouched waterfalls are waiting for you after a tough descent on a precipitous path. While you can bathe under the waterfalls at the rock pools, please show due regard to Burma's humility and don't go in nude! As the ascent is tough and warm, there doesn't seem to be any breeze, so take lots of rain with you.
