In Myeik Municipality there were 143[cases] among infants and 2 deaths[of dengue infection], and 65[cases] among infants and one in Palaw Municipality, as of March 28, 2018.

With regard to the Tanintharyi area' tengue scene of 27 March 2018, 391 cases and 3 fatalities were recorded, the highest number in Myeik, followed by the municipality of Palaw. There were also 21 cases in the municipality of Dawei, 25 cases in the municipality of Launglon, 15 cases in the municipality of Thayetchaung, 33 cases in the municipality of Yebyu, 143 cases in the municipality of Myeik, 65 cases in the municipality of Palaw, 38 cases in the municipality of Myeik Archipelago, 17 cases in the municipality of Tanintharyi, 17 cases in the municipality of Kawthoung and 7 cases in the municipality of Bokpyin.

Tanintharyi is the third most infected area in 2018. In 2017, a number of 892 cases were recorded in the area.
