Places to go in Myanmar

Sights in Myanmar

This has not made it an unwelcome place - quite the opposite. Is Myanmar a safe place? Burma is an amazing place! It is a wonderful place to discover its culture, architecture and people. After all, you should be fully clothed when visiting places of worship.

or not.... too warm in April? - The forum in Myanmar

or not.... too warm in April? I know this is a stupid issue, but is it too warm to travel in Myanmar from the end of March to mid-April. Re: to go or not.......too warm in April? Yeah, way too scorching for a trip to Myanmar in April.

Well, it is important that some budgeted properties (usually over $40 in Myanmar) have a back-up engine if you want to be 100% sure. Re: to go or not.......too warm in April? Thank you Rolf, I think I had a little more pipe dreams than realities about April in Burma.

Re: to go or not.......too warm in April? Re: to go or not.......too warm in April? Please be aware that Thingyan and then Myanmar is New Year's Day from December 12 to 21. Re: to go or not.......too warm in April? Re: to go or not.......too warm in April? Re: to go or not.......too warm in April?

April too chilly? Thinkyan - is the same as Songkran....much and much drink. Re: to go or not.......too warm in April? Dawei's Thinkgyan is a whole weeks long event - have a good time, it's a big smile, because in the end the visitor gets moister than everyone else.

A great trip with "Let's go Myanmar"! - Recap on Let's Go Myanmar Travels & Tours, Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar

Let's Go Myanmar prepared our trip and it was great! Particularly we loved Bagan and Inle Lake - some of the most beautiful places. From the 11th to the 14th it was fantastic to see all the tile stamps around you as we went to Bagan. Unfortunately we did not go on any hikes there, although the hills around Inle look beautiful.

After two and a half day on the water (and the same period in Bagan) we saw the different towns, temple, picturesque fisherman, picturesque fisherman, potter -necked ladies. Later we also went to the area around Mandalay, Yangon and Kaiktiyo (Golden Rock). It is understandable why the area is named Golden Empire - gilded Buddhas, stupas etc. were everywhere....some quite amazing (Shwedagon, Kaiktiyo, Bagan) and some very silly!

Myanmar's population has been very kind. There was plenty of fruits for our meal (and there is so much variation - delicious) and we had many Myanmar cuisine, although the restaurant also serves Thai, Hindi and Mandarin cuisine. Thanks, let us visit Myanmar for all your help in organising this journey.
