DOKUMENTS: Forged NYSC certification and other references from Kemi Adeosun
Whilst the news gathering is awaiting the statement by Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun on a primium timesun exclusivity statement that she has jumped over Nigeria's one-year compulsory federal juvenile welfare programme and then faked an exceptional permit, this paper has resolved to make all her testimonies available to the population. Included in the document are a copy of their CV, high scholastic GCE results, college and post-graduate degrees, the alleged NYSC tax exempting document, the income tax document for the 2015 tax year and the member certifications of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Only the NYSC certification, which was allegedly awarded on September 7, 2009, is still disputed. The paper found that, on the basis of its Empowerment Act, the NYSC does not grant an exception to persons who, like the Secretary of State before her 30th birthday, are not eligible to receive an NYSC waiver.
Ms Adeosun's'certificate' dates 9 September 2009 and was allegedly autographed by Yusuf Bomoi, a former General Manager of the SDC. Officers said that Mr Bomoi resigned from the NYSC in January 2009 and eight month later could not sign a certification for the SDC. We' ve been examining Mrs Adeosun's NYSC certification for a few month and found it to be counterfeit.
"That' s an Oluwole certificate," said a senior officer of the Resp. After we showed him a copy of the deed. "and we couldn't have released it either. "Oluwole is a place in Nigeria's trading capitol Lagos, where scammers have an astonishing skill in the arts of forgery of all types of paper.
A number of system present and former civil servants declared to this document that the NYSC would never issue an exception certification to anyone who graduated prior to age 30 and did not fall into the category of individuals released by the enabling act of the corps. There are four types of Nigerians who qualify for exemptions under this Act.
Thirdly, they are people who have worked in the army or for up to nine month in the field of policing. That is why Mrs Adeosun, at 22 years of age and with no records of her achievements in secret services or in the military, is not eligible for an emancipation, said officers. However, the so-called derogation, which it has, cited oldage as its ground for derogation.
"That is not the extent of our exemption," noted another senior officer of the Armed Forces when presenting a copy of the minister's "certificate. Another employee on another date challenged the authenticity of the "certificate" on the basis of the series number type. "Take a look at this, look at the other, the numbers are different," said the personnel when they compared Mrs. Adeosun's certification with a real one.
The name of Mrs Adeosun did not appear in several controls of the Corps' registries of exemptions, said officers. An officer who recently checked the registry found that the order of the series numbers for the allowances granted in 2009 did not match that in Mrs Adeosun's alleged certificat.
Ms Adeosun, the NYSC and the Council Chairmanship have yet to comment on the issue which is currently the most debated issue in Nigeria.
