Arrival Visa for Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw
Visas on arrival will soon be available at Mandalay and Nap Pyi Taw airport, said Minister of Immigration and Population U Khin Yi last weekend during an inspectorate of Yangon airport. Said the re-introduced visa-on-arrival system in Yangon on June 1 had worked efficiently and the department planned to extend the services to Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw.
Maung Maung Than, general manager of the Ministry's immigration and national registration department, tells the Myanmar Times that the visa will probably be available at both of the two airfields on arrival at the beginning of the high seas. "There is a chance to take off from Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw from October, but it has not yet been confirmed," he said.
Up-to-date visas on arrival are available at Yangon International Airport for travelers, meeting and repair shop participants and transiting people. A 70-day corporate visa is $50, while a 28-day visa for a meeting, convention, workshop or event will cost $40. 24-hour-trip visa is $20. Guests must have a valid Myanmar valid for at least six month from the date of arrival and must provide two recent (4cm x 6cm) color photographs.
Visitor staying on the visa for no longer than 90 nights must add $3 per night, while those staying longer than 90 nights must add $5 for each night that they spend in the visa expire. Candidates must also provide an official notice of hospitality from the sponsor for their first commercial trip to Myanmar.
You must also provide a copy of the trade license, a trade license or a trade license certificate from the relevant ministry if the person is working in Myanmar. Applicants must also provide the name of their job, their place of work, the name of the sponsors and their positions in the organization.
Visa holders must present a written notice of invitations from the competent ministries if they wish to participate in a conference, seminar, conference, event and/or celebration. No applicant may work with or without pay outside the occupation specified on the visa request sheet.
Candidates must also provide the name and adress of the hotels or pensions where they will be staying for the period of their sojourn.
