Myanmar Visa Land BorderBurma Visa Land Border
With the Myanmar eVisa at land borders - Myanmar Forum
I' ve been reading that you can now request a Myanmar visa on-line (from Australia). I' d like to arrange this before our November visit, but I can't find any information about the use of this visa at the border checkpoint from Mae Sot (Thailand) to Myawaddy (Myanmar). eVisa travelers are currently only allowed to travel to Yangon International Airport, Nay Pyi Taw International Aiport and Mandalay International Airport.
To cross the border you will need a visa from Myanmar embassies abroad. At the moment you can NOT land on Myanmar with an Evisas, although this may vary during the year. Marie....if you do not go to November, then simply request your Myanmar visa 4 wks in advance at the consulate in Canberra...then you can arrive at any of the open land frontiers.....
You are traveling from Thailand to India via Myanmar. I' m not sure which border checkpoints are possible (Thailand to Myanmar)? and with busses and accommodation? here my pictures:Kalaw to Maesot and Changrai via Hpa an and Bago Sarah further topics: Hello Mir0304, I already finished the passage from Mae Sot to Myawaddy last weeks with a visa in my mile.
At the moment eVisa can only be handled at the airports. Border crossings from Thailand and Myanmar were very easy. When there are other passengers travelling at the same times, you can split the cost if you travel in the same area. I' d think it would be more complicated to take a puppy to the airfield, as it would be transport and custom matters.
India to Myanmar Border Entry - Myanmar Forum
After all, good tidings about entering India and Myanmar were announced on 8 August at 8:30 a.m. at the Tamu Border Bridge in the Sagaing region. Pursuant to this arrangement, BP owners can drive up to 16 mile, and in Myanmar Imhal town, the visitor can drive up to Falam county, 16 mile from the border.
Opening border crossing points will make it easier for travellers with current passes and visa from both sides to enter and they will be able to cross the border from these two points. Burmese citizens holding a current Myanmar visa, Myanmar Ambassador to India visa or e-visa may enter India, and Myanmar via these two new border crossing points on the Indian-Myanmar border, if they have a current Myanmar Ambassador's visa and visa or e-visa in that state.
At the opening celebration in Tamu, Mr Nandan Singh Bhaisora, Consulate General of India in Mandalay, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population U Aye Lwin participated. Then, the officers and visitors went to the border crossing on the Indian side and examined him.
A similar border crossing for Myanmar is being constructed by India. Aye Lwin and his crew went to the opening celebration of the Indo-Myanmar Border and examined the iPost (ICP) on the ground in India. Officers from both nations met in this ICT centre to discuss issues such as border crossing, travel, tour and visa issues.
