That is why he has called his new art and cultural magazine Pansodan.
"My diary is devoted to Pansodan Street, where we have searched so long for knowledge," he said. This 16-page magazine, which is scheduled for release in mid-July, is a bi-lingual magazine with contributions in Myanmar and English. Aung Soe Min says the edition will stay small.
"The magazine is specifically targeted at a restricted number of people seeking information about art and cultural issues. The subjects are, among others, exhibition responses, artists' portraits and comments on literary, artistic and cultural works by scientists from Germany and abroad. Pansodan Art Gallery, which has been on 286 Road since 2008 and will soon move to a bigger room at 144, is already known to regular Pansodan visitors as U Aung Soe Min.
Pansodan Art Gallery co-founder Nance Cunningham and Camille McDorman will work on the British section, while poets Maung Lin Yaik and U Aung Soe Min will work on the Myanmar section. This magazine is issued every Friday at the price of K1000.
