The number of visitors is starting to fall, making this a very pleasant season this year if you are a serious sundowner. The temperature tends to drop slightly towards the end of the months (range 32-38°C), and this is welcome for most people.
Severe rain is coming, so you can anticipate rain in many parts of Myanmar in May, and there is likely to be a wind (again towards the end of the month) that will chill the area.
