Myanmar provinces. Areas for great touring!
It is not entirely accurate to use the word provincial, since the administration entities are divisional and state. We' ve grouped the 17 provinces into six areas to give you a simple view of Myanmar. Central Myanmar is Bagan with its many churches and palaces and Mandalay, the King's last city. North of Myanmar, a trip to the Naga is possible in the Sagaing Division with its New Year' s Feast time.
Further places for hiking or sight -seeing like the imposing Goteik viaduct can be found in the Northern Shan State. The three Shan States, Northern Shan State, Eastern Shan State and Southern Shan State are located in eastern Myanmar. Of all the places of interest is the Southern Shan State with the lovely touristic places Inle Lake and Kalaw, a former hill station in Britain.
Western Myanmar's beautiful Ngapali Beach with its breathtaking sandy beach is the ideal place for a quiet and restful vacation at the end of our itineraries. Ayeyarwady Delta includes the Ayeyarwady Division, Yangon Division, Bago Division West, Bago Division East. Rangoon's Shwedagon Pagoda and Bago's Zhwemawdaw are among Burma's most popular tourist package deals.
The Ayeyarwady River Basin in the narrower meaning of the Danube has not yet been formed. This is one of the most scenic areas in southern Myanmar. We have compiled the following provincial survey:
