Myanmar: Recent evidences show Rohingya gunmen massacring score in Rakhine State

On the basis of the dozen testimonies in Bangladesh and across the borders and photographical proofs analysed by pathological forensics, the organisation showed how the warriors of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) were sowing anxiety among the Hindus and other indigenous groups with these violent assaults. The most recent on-site inquiry throws much needed attention to the largely underreported violations of humanitarian law by Argos during the unspeakable recent events in North Rakhine.

On August 25, 2017 at 8 a.m. at 8 am, the Hindu church in the town of Ah Nauk Kha Maung Seik was assaulted by a group of towns known as Kha Maung Seik in the north of Maungdaw Township. The Hindu inhabitants were living in the immediate vicinity of the predominantly Moslem Rohingya people.

Gunmen wearing dark clothing and native Rohingya village dwellers in civilian dress gathered tens of them. Couple Hindus execution-style ARSA combatants assassinated 53, beginning with the men. After ARSA female ARSA combatants had compelled eight Hindus and eight of their daughters to "convert" to Islam, they were kidnapped and saved.

A few day later, the remaining refugees had to escape with the combatants to Bangladesh before being returned to Myanmar in October 2017 with the assistance of the Bangladeshi and Myanmar government. Later when Formila and the other seven kidnapped wives were taken away, she turned around and saw how the other wives and kids were killed by a group of friends from ASA.

It is in line with numerous reports collected by the organisation both in Bangladesh and Myanmar, from overseers and testimonials, and from Hindu leader. On the same date, all 46 Hindu men, wives and kids vanished into the neighboring town of Ye Bauk Kyar. The Hindu fellowship in North Rakhine State assumes that the fellowship was murdered by the same ARSA warriors.

Together with those of Ah Nauk Kha Maung Seik, the estimated number of deaths is 99. At the end of September 2017, the corpses of 45 persons from Ah Nauk Kha Maung Seik were excavated in four collective cemeteries. During this violent and pointless act, the members of Arcade caught and terrorised numerous Hindoo men, woman and child before butchering them outside their own village.

"The members of Arcade have imprisoned and terrorised many Hindoo men, girls and wives in this violent and pointless act before they were slaughtered outside their own communities. At the 26th August 2017 six Hindus - two wives, one man and three kids - were murdered by members of Arcade and another Hindus wife was wounded on the edge of Maungdaw, near the small hamlet of Myo Thu Gyi.

These murders came just a few day after the Armed Services of Myanmar (ARSA) launched a string of assaults on some 30 Myanmar military bases on 25 August 2017, leading to an illegal and disproportionately violent attack by Myanmar's military force. Though most have reverted to their houses, some still remain in emergency shelter, either because their houses have been demolished or because they are afraid of further terrorist attack when they come back to their communities.

Myanmar's administration cannot unilaterally criticise the multinational corporation while refusing to allow entry to Rakhine's North. Full knowledge of ARSA and Myanmar militarys violation will not be available until full and unimpeded humanitarian intelligence agents, complete with the UN fact-finding missions, have full and free entry into the State of Rakhine.

"The horrific assaults by Arza were followed by the Burmese military's ethnical purge against the entire Rohingya people. In a UN Security Council session last weekend, Myanmar's senior official criticised some in the UN for having heard only "one side" of history and not acknowledging the abuse perpetrated by AARSA.

"Myanmar's administration cannot unilaterally criticise the multinational corporation while refusing to allow entry to North Rakhine. Myanmar's full allegations of ARSA abuse and violation will not be known until full and unhindered humanitarian intelligence agents, complete with the UN fact-finding missions, have full and unhindered entry into the state of Rakhine," said Tirana Hassan.

Aka Harakah al-Yaqin, or "the religious movement," first became known in October 2016 after it launched similar, albeit minor, assaults on frontier policing stations in the north of Rakhine State, resulting in a disproportionately strong force reaction, which also represented a crime against man. The 25th of August saw a large number of Rohingya village inhabitants mobilised by ASA.

There is no doubt, even in the towns where there have been assaults, that most village people have not participated in them. Focusing on serious crime - involving illegal killing and kidnapping - committed by members of Argos against the Hindu society based in North Rakhine State. None of the casualties were either at risk or threatened the life of any of the members of the group.

In May 2018, six other individuals from an area where Hindu murders took place were questioned by telephone from outside the area. Around 8 a.m. on August 25, 2017, the Hindu church in the town of Ah Nauk Kha Maung Seik, in the Kha Maung Seik part of the town north of Maungdaw, was mugged.

Some of them wore normal dress, while others were wearing normal clothes. All 69 of them were Hindoo men, ladies and kids who were in the town. Couple-hour later, executory- style combatants from Arcas murdered the overwhelming bulk of them and kidnapped the remainder. 32 ] The corpses of the other eight dead of Ah Nauk Kha Maung Seik were not found; according to the record of those murdered, seven of these eight had been - four of them under 3-month-olds.

On its Twitter accounts and in response to requests from the public, Arba rejected any participation in the event. 34 ] The Myanmar authorities' limitations on entry mean that no freelance journalists or researchers on the subject have had unhindered entry to Kha Maung Seik and the area.

Most of these interventions took place either in the Bangladesh flood camp in the day after the rescue of the refugees or in Myanmar in the week after the discovery of the crowd cemeteries. In the course of these interrogations, the girls provided reports that were partly incompatible with the testimonies of other believers and even disagreed with their own testimonies.

In Bangladesh, as already mentioned, the Rakhine people[ 35] blamed the murders, as they did a few day later in Reuters interview. Upon their repatriation to Myanmar, the villagers unequivocally claimed that Rohingya, who was considered an active member of that group. Firstly, the contradictions in the Hindu survivors' statements are largely due to the pressure and threat to their own security to which they were exposed in Bangladesh, as described by Bina Bala above.

Secondly, the Hindu survivors' assailants' description of the Hindu Kha Maung Seik in Ah Nauk - description that has been largely constant over the years - is also in line with the description of those fighting in other parts of Kha Maung Seik and in other towns in the north of Rakhine State at the height of the kill.

Fifth, witnesses from a Hindu Villagers and Rakhine village administrator in Kha Maung Seik confirm that the Burmese army sent reinforcement into the area after the massacres, and that at least one chopper came to the area a few day later, on August 27.

48 ] This statement confirms the probability that the Myanmar Kha Maung Seik was not under Myanmar police command on the date of the kill. Together, the proofs show that ARSA was the cause of the carnage and that it has tried proactively to hide the crime by urging the survivors to appear before the cameras, involving other offenders, and by more general intimidations designed to distort the film.

At the 26th August 2017 six Hindus - two wives, a man and three kids - were murdered by Arza militants and another Hindus wife was wounded on the edge of Maungdaw, near the small hamlet of Myo Thu Gyi. Rohingya in the state of Rakhine have been systematically discriminated against for many years by the Myanmar government. However, no horrors can warrant the massacres, kidnappings and other attacks by Arasa against the Hindus, as demonstrated in this document.

It should be examined by a relevant authority and, if adequate, lawful proof is found, those in charge should be brought to justice before the civil judiciary in proceedings which comply with internationally accepted principles of fair play and do not enact the capital punishment. In order to uncover the full scale of violations and violations of humanitarian law in North Rakhine State, in particular those perpetrated by Myanmar's armed forces (ARSA), the Myanmar government must immediately grant full and unimpeded humanitarian investigative freedom to the entire area, which includes the United Nations fact-finding missions.
