Burma Youth Hostels
Burma is a southeast Asian nation that has become a favorite destination for backpacking tourism in recent years. Accommodations increase with the number of visitors, but in many places it may be good to book in advance if you really want to spend the night at a particular lodging.
The majority of backpacker tourists make about the same round trips and go to Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Hsipaw and Inle Lake. It is a astonishingly contemporary town that is evolving rapidly. The Swedagon Lagoon and the Central Market are definitely a stop. A must-have with more than three thousand coupons on a vast area.
The simplest way to reach the Pagoda is by e-bike, which you can hire at any Bagan Youth Hostel. While Mandalay is not the most popular town in Myanmar, it is easy to drive through the smaller towns in the area for two outings. Mrauk Oo, Pyin Oo Lwin, Hpa-An and Mawlamyine are other places that are well deserved a stop, but a little off the well-trodden paths.
Travel costs in Myanmar are low, but Myanmar (Burma) homes are more costly than in other Southeast Asian states. Yangon and Mandalay are the two most important touristic towns. Most of Myanmar (Burma)'s youth Hostel facilities are located here. There are many guesthouses in Yangon and they are all of very good standard.
A number of Myanmar Youth Hostels in Burma provide tour services and all of them can arrange taxi and local transportation to virtually any other town in Myanmar. Mandalay, Bagan and Hsipaw each provide a few lodges and the standards are the same as in Yangon, but a little more expensive. There are often no shelters in other towns in Myanmar (Burma), but some pensions and accommodation offers dorms.
There is a particular lack of cheap accommodations in Bagan and it is recommended to reserve your holiday a few nights before arrival. You should make reservations in advanced in other towns during the high seasons (December to February). During the low seasons you do not need to make an appointment in advanced unless you really want to spend the night in a particular Myanmar (Burma) hostal or room.
The simplest way to get around the countryside is by coach and rail, and all Myanmar Youth Hostels (Burma) can arrange transportation for their visitors. In Myanmar, Burma, some of our guesthouses are not ready to make reservations for you if you do not use them. You can also always reserve your favourite sightseeing tours and motorcycle hire at the Myanmar (Burma) front desk, but prices may differ.
