City of Bagan Temple Marathon & Half Marathon, Myanmar

From Yangon the high point of the trip will be the Bagan Run. We return to Yangon, where you can either prolong your Myanmar trip to Inle Lake or Ngapali Beach or discover the remainder of this lovely land on your own.

You can book the 6-day trip either as a regular or as a comfortable itinerary. We use 3* accommodations on the FREE ONE day trip (The Bagan resort will have a private outdoor and Yangon pools). We use 4* Yangon and 3* PLUS Bagan for our all inclusive packages.

There are three routes to run: marathons, half marathons and 10K runs. November 21: Arrival at Yangon International Airport and transfer to the hotels for check-in. Transport from the Aiport is not planned, but there are many taxi's and the distanc... Your travel agent and your host will help you with check-in and inform you about the next few nights.

For the remainder of the afternoon you can discover Yangon on your own. 22 November: The start of the excursion is a sightseeing bus ride through Yangon. The first stop will be one of the most symbolic of Yangon, the Shwedagon Pagoda, which many consider the "Heart of Myanmar".

Wherever the wheather allows, we will see a panorama of Yangon from a helicopter ride up to 50 metres above the surface. We will have our lunches at a local eatery where you can sample Myanmar's delicious food. In the afternoon we drive to the airfield to take our plane to Bagan.

It takes about an hours and twenty min. to reach the airport Nyaung U outside the archaeological zone of Bagan. Once you check in at the guesthouse, the remainder of the afternoon is free to explore the beautiful area.

23 November: Today we discover the antique area of Bagan. We begin with a tour of Old Bagan, the center of the old empire. It is still an activity place of adoration today and is considered one of the most amazing and cultivated couples in Bagan. The remainder of the afternoons is at leisure to get ready for tomorrow's event.

At night we invite you to a pastaside meal in the motel or a near to it. An early morning meal at the motel takes us on a bus to Hti Lo Min Lo Temple, where the Hti Lo Min Lo Temple is where the Hti Lo Min Lo Temple run, half run and 10K races begin and end. In the middle of the scenery of the pagodas we see Bagan in all its splendour and cross small scenic towns and farmlands.

Shuttles bring all competitors (runners and spectators) back to the hotels, where the remainder of the days and evenings can be spent at leisure. You are free to spend the whole of today relaxing, enjoying and exploring at your own speed. It is up to you whether you want to unwind in the motel with a cool beverage or hire a bicycle and discover more of Bagan.

We' ll be meeting later in the afternoons and the remainder of the night is devoted to the celebration of our accomplishments last night. 25 November: After an early breakfeast and check-out we drive to the airfield for our early return to Yangon. It takes about 1 hr 20 min and the journey to Yangon is expected before lunch.

Flights are not yet booked and there will be a delay, so it is NOT advisable to make your reservation from Yangon before 15:00! Or you can prolong your trip to Myanmar and enjoy the scenic Inle Lake or the ideal Ngapali Beaches.

This 8-day excursion takes the visitor on an unbelievable adventure into a lands of great scenic beauties. From Yangon you will start your flight to the former imperial capitol Mandalay. There is no doubt that the high point of this visit will be Bagan and the run. We will return to Yangon after the event, where you can either prolong your Myanmar holiday with trips to Inle Lake or Ngapali Beach or discover the remainder of this lovely countryside on your own.

The Deluxe Packages include 5* hotels in Yangon, 5* in Mandalay and 4* Plus in Bagan. From Mandalay to Bagan, the quality of the boats is also high. Flying takes about one hours and thirty mins. Once you have checked into the Mandalay hotels, you can spend the remainder of the night and days as you wish.

November 21: After having our breakfasts we set off for further explorations of Mandalay and its area. 22 November: After an early morning meal our group drives to the Irrawaddy River, where a small ferry takes us to one of the most treasured areas of South West Asia, Bagan. We' ll be there early in the afternoon, just in good season to see a lovely view - gold beams shine as the sundown of the 42 square kilometres of grassland in Bagan and its more than 3,000 historical Buddha Schools.

It is NOT advisable to make your reservation for a connecting connection from Yangon before 3:00 pm as there will be a delay and flying time has not yet been approved. They can also prolong their trip to Myanmar and make reservations for the trip to Ile Lake or the ideal Ngapali Beaches.

You will start your tour with an early drive from your motel in one of the old-timer busses devoted to the trip, and on your return to the village you will be served a snack, a cup of cup of coffee and a cup of tee. It offers a constantly evolving view of the archaeological site and the beauties of Bagan that you would otherwise not be able to capture.

Following a charming balloon landings, the personnel awaits you with refreshing biscuits, fruit and a glas of champagne to round off this trip with a party of your own. No matter what your interests, Ngapali is the ideal place to end your trip to Myanmar.

Following our breakfasts we go to Thandwe and Ngapali. Visit our Amata Resort and enjoy the remainder of the morning. We will depart after having a nice morning meal and transfer to the Yangon International Airfield for our flights to Yangon.

Famed for their unique rudder technology, the Intha are one of several mountain peoples who live on and around Myanmar's second biggest sea.

And if the more adventurous trips are not enough, you can hire a kayak and go canoeing through the tranquil water or cycle through the luxuriant landscap. When you have finished your meal you will be flying to Heho. After that we walk over the village's early bird markets before we sail to Inle and book our accommodation.

Tonight we are enjoying a full-time boating trip on the pond. Discover a five-day revolving fair (if your trip is on schedule) that gives an idea of the lives of the ethnic Pa-O, Danu and Intha who come to these fairs to buy and buy goods a long tail ship across the river to Indein, at the west end of Inle, for one of the most beautiful excursions on the river.

Transfers to Nyaung Oo airport with the early bird flights to Yangon. It takes about 1 hr 20 min and the journey to Yangon is expected before lunch. Flights are not yet booked and there are some delay, so it is NOT advisable to make your reservation before 3:00 pm from Yangon.

After a short welcome at the guesthouse we start our long journey with a small private vehicle from Bagan to Mindat. It is a good opportunity for staged photographing and interaction with the village people and ends with the 4860 foot above Mdat.

Evening meal is served at the motel. On our second outing we start with our morning meal at the motel and drive to Chin Village. This is where we encounter the natives, some of them Chin ladies still dressed in their old clothes, smoking wipes and, according to their ages, even having their faces decorated with complicated old fashioned ink-pattoons. This ritual practices, which means their coming to femininity, with icons that represent the embassies of the different tribes, is now forbidden by the state.

We' ll have dinner in a typical Kanpetlet eatery and then hike in our free times through the centre of Mindat and the village square before going to Kanpetlet, where we'll stay in a basic motel for the day. Early in the morning we drive through the village of Kanpetlet to see some of the smaller towns and enjoy the view of the church and basic farmsteads adorned with grains of beef.

Following our 3-hour walk, we head back to the top basecamp and down to our motel in the scenic old city of Kanpletet. Today we have our breakfasts in the guesthouse and start the trip to Bagan (150 km), along the mountain regions, through fog and silent dales. Arrive in Bagan, where our passengers take the internal flights and then the flights to Yangon, where the trip ends.

It is not recommended to make an overnight booking from Yangon as internal travel is often slow.
