Update Entrance / Zone Fees - Myanmar Message Board
At Phekon we were paying 10,000 kyats each, but at the end of Nyang Shwe and south Inle Lake, all indications were that if you were paying in Kyoto, you would have to be paying 11,000 kyats per each. Similarly, the Bagan zoning fee, where the Kyoto rate was always 21,000 kyats, was $20 per capita if you were paying in dollar at all.
In addition to these zoning charges, some, but far from all the sights - churches, convents, palaces, etc. - may also require a fee for every visitor - provided that even if they cannot see you with a digital still they have a smart phone or a photographing-tray on them.
The majority of the licence fee was in the order of 300 kyats per film, but we paid 500 kyats once or twice. There was no registration fee anywhere in Yangon, but some Buddhist monasteries levied a shoe store fee instead, even if you wanted to wear your own shoes - the fee at Sule Paya was 1,000 Kie!
Update ticket/zone fee (October 12, 2017) - Myanmar Forum
Hello DE', TA members and research travelers, here you can see the final attractions maps/zone tariff. Due to exchange rate fluctuations and new strict guidelines for the locations, there were some minor changes in some areas. Remark: The Central Bank of Myanmar encourages Kyat to pay the entry fee to curb the use of US banknotes for domestic payments and to take Kyat's strengths into account.
