Myanmar Capital City

Burma capital

Explore the road through Naypyidaw in Naypyitaw, Myanmar (Burma): and the strangest capital in the world. Visiting Burma's bizarre new capital Naypyidaw: a city with extensive zones and long walks in Myanmar. The Yangon (formerly known as Rangoon) is the largest city in Myanmar (formerly Burma). The Sittwe is the capital of the state of Rakhine in Myanmar.

Myanmar's capital city was relocated 320 km from Yangon (Rangoon) and was formally renamed Naypyidaw in March 2006.

Myanmar's capital city was relocated 320 km from Yangon (Rangoon) and was formally renamed Naypyidaw in March 2006. The English language for Naypyidaw is Royal Capital, but a Burmese to Burmese would be Royal City of the Sun. It was built in 4 years near Pyinmana.

The new capital has relocated all government departments and army headquarter from Yangon. This is therefore basically an administration and politics capital. The majority of economic activities still take place in Yangon (Rangoon), the country's largest city. Nearer to 3 major states, it has a more centrally located location than Yangon:

State-of-the-art infrastructures are better suited to the new technology and will enable more rapid developments, which will be necessary with the recent opening of the economy and rapid economic expansion. Residencies and HQs, departments, residential areas and the hotels area. There is a Ngalaik Lake Gardens, a National Herbal Parks, a aquatic fontain and a 500 animal sanctuary for fun.

Myanmar's capital is six time larger than NYC, but has no one.

The city stretches over 789 sq. km and is home to 8.6 million inhabitants. In contrast, London, at 1,572 sq. km, is twice as large as New York City, but has a very similar number of inhabitants to New York. Just 8.67 million of them. Sydney? Sydney stretches over 12,368 km2.

Playing with just over 5 million players. Sidney seems quite empty. What if I tell you that there's a city that's almost as big as Sydney, with less than 20% of the world? The capital of Myanmar (formerly Burma) is Naypyidaw. And while the newly built city has 22-lane motorways and an infra-structure for several hundred million inhabitants..... it has a total of less than one million inhabitants.

This is the "official" number of the government's inhabitants. Myanmar is a state like North Korea in the way that it has never been able to fully develop a democratic system; a strong army system oversees the whole of Myanmar and the tribe, desperately seeking to make changes politically, has been plagued by decade-long wars.

Whilst some parts of Myanmar are a synonym for destitution and restlessness, the new capital is incredibly empty of people. Viral Thread says there are on the whole few employees of the city. A decade ago, the Chinese authorities made the strange move of the country's capital from Yangon to Naypyidaw - a strange move, as no one had ever known.

It has built a capital in the heart of nowhere, equipped with a pet park, four playing holes and lightning-fast Wi-Fi. It is said that the abandoned 22-lane motorways were built in such a way that airplanes could end up in the case of a protests against the state. The Top Gear was permitted by the goverment to shoot a feature in 2015.

I think this is the first city to be constructed in advance of the coming one.... but the coming one is not yet here," continues Dr. Comment.
