The Global Treasure Bank was established on February 15, 1996 under the license number Mababa/P-15 (2) 96 of the Central Bank of Myanmar under the original name Myanma Livestock and Fisheries Development Bank (MLFDB) under the Financial Institutions of Myanmar Act. MLFDB amended the new name Global Treasure Bank(GTB) on 1-7-2013, approved by the Directorate of Investment and Business Management by writing No. Yaka-8 (Ga Nga) 001/2013(010995) of 27-8-2013.
Global Treasure Bank (GTB) has grown with confidence and interest in the smooth and efficient processing of bank transactions. It has extended specific lending by incorporating the administration of deposits of cash into the livestock and fisheries, industry, trade, construction and service sectors, which promote overall levels of prosperity and also supports farming, countryside electricity and industry as well as supporting national social welfare schemes.
To improve the ability of bank employees to work, the Bank has provided central headquarters vocational education for finance specialists and our employees have also participated in skill development sessions and seminars organised by the Central Bank of Myanmar. In order to offer good bank service to the customer's comfort and contentment, GTB Bank has also expanded its national bank net up to 130 outlets, of which 121 are full and 9 are mini-branches in comparison to the four initial ones incl. the head offices in Jan 1999.
The GTB BankBank has nominated U Hla Tun and Associates Limited as the Bank's auditors for the 2016-2017 year. At the end of each fiscal year, the Board of Directors prepared an AGRANA AGM in accordance with the Bank's Articles of Association.
