Myanmar Andaman Resort is located on Macleod Island in the Mergui Archipelago in tranquil seclusion, perfect for those who want to enjoy the outdoors and find an alternate type of seaside resort. It can be accessed by plane from Yangon to Kawthaung (Victoria Point) or by a 1 hr 40 min boating from Rayong in Thailand, even only 50 min flights from Bangkok.

You can also have Phuket, Khao Lak or Khao Sok pick you up, so this is a good choice for an add-on from southern Thailand. Staying at the resort provides the opportunity to experience the great sea scenery and indigenous countryside. The animal world on the archipelago is great and there are many different birdlife.

It is very undulating and has great walks, birdwatching and a beautiful, unspoiled sandy area ('3 indeed' beaches). A PADI diving centre is available, making this an ideal choice for those wishing to explore the Mergui Archipelago. Please be aware that those coming from Rayong and leaving another place in Myanmar (or the other way around) need a visa for Myanmar - ask us for help.

There are snorkelling tours around the islands for half and full days for non-divers. Seakayaks are a great way to discover Macleod lsland and the area. It has an unspoilt natural habitat and a jungles rich in flora and fauna. Walking to the highest summit of Macleod has some of the best view.
