Me N Ma Gal's new face in the world of folk songs is the new group. This is the first all-female, singin' pop/hip-hop group and dancing group from Myanmar. Formed in February 2010 by Nicole May, an Aussie ballet artist, and Myanmar based U Moe Kyaw, the founding members of the group are Ah Moon, Htike Htike, Kimi and Wai Hnin (who recently quit the band).

Initially called "Tiger Girls", their first record, Year of the Tiger Gals (2010), consisted of ten tunes, all but one "copy tracks", i. e. populare international coversongs with substitute Myanmar texts. When they were studying composing and music, the group and May were looking for more creative liberty, separated from Kyaw in February 2011 and adopted the name "Me N Ma Girls", a piece about "Myanmar Girls" and a sign for the conviction of the group that the young ladies in Myanmar should be proud and make a difference together.

In May 2012 the group made their debut with the first open policy hymn of their nation "Come Back Home". It was in June 2012 that the group and Power Music from Los Angeles, California, the first such signature for a pop/hip group from Myanmar with a US record company.

At the Sydney Film Festival on 16 June, her feature film "Miss Nikki and the Tiger Girls" was selected as the top 10 finisher for the Foxtel Australian Dokumentary Prize.
