An 120-passenger army transportation airplane disappeared on Wednesday on a flight from South Burma to Yangon, a spokesperson for the army said. General Myat Min Oo said that the Chinese-built Y-8 turbo-prop airplane carried 106 pax - mostly soldiers' homes - and 14 flight attendants when it disappeared on Wednesday afternoons.
Myanmar was given the Y-8 aircraft in March last year and has recorded 809 flight-hour since then.
