"Starlight " is a track by the british alternativ rocking group Muse from their 4th Studioalbum black holds and revolutions (2006). The album was published on September 4, 2006 in Great Britain as the second singles of Great Britain's record company black holds and Revelations[1] The lyrics "Our hopes und expects, black holds and revelations" give the album its name.

Playing the tune in real time, it is shifted down half a scale to lower Bellamy's deeper voices in key size two. This becomes apparent during the band's appearance at the Reading Festival 2006 and HAARP. "Starlight " got overall favorable ratings. As MusicOMH explained, the tune was "a perfect title to feel at home in drive-time radio" and said it "shows a different side of the band's musical style and overwhelming range"[12] Leeds Musik Scene critic Maria Pinto-Fernandes gave "Starlight" a fervent critique, with a 4.5 star rating of 5.

Commenting in her reviews, she said that "the band's music on the tracks was not created by chance. A tough critique came from NME when the reviewers found that the melody "is so chart-hungry that it limps almost limps drily, JK and Joel's legs"[14], but "Starlight" would become one of Muse's best-known tunes, win a major global station and be featured across almost all Muse shows once released.

In February 2008, there was a general poll by Question for "The Best British Album of all time" in which Schwarz Holes and Revelations was ranked 34th.... Supermassive Black Hole", Muse's most popular UK singles to date, was also released on the album, reaching number 4 in the UK chart. As with their two earlier records, Revelations and Revelations have politically and dystopically undertoned tracks, with texts dealing with such diverse themes as politics of bribery, extraterrestrial intrusion, New World Order revolutions and plotting, and more traditional lovesongs.

This album was published in the UK on 3 July 2006, followed by release in the USA, Australia, Taiwan and Japan. This album was also available as a restricted CD/DVD mix containing video and line-up performances of the bands "Supermassive Black Hole", "Knights of Cydonia" and "Starlight".

The album was also re-released on 18 August 2009 in the USA on LPs. On 22 December 2006 the album was awarded twice the United Kingdom Goldplatinum certification [18] and three times the United Kingdom Goldplatinum certificate on 6 December 2010. Knights of Cydonia" was the first US release on June 13, 2006, culminating in number 10 in the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks charts.

Starlight" and "Supermassive Black Hole" followed. "Starlight " was at that time their most beloved singles in the USA and reached second place on the Modern Rock album. The album became Muse's first Top Ten record in the USA and debuted in ninth place. The footage from the last show was published on DVD, while a CD featured a choice of songs from the two night show.

It was also prominent in the second Watchmen trailers and a John Debney's re-mix of the track was used in the second Disney movie The Jungle Book 2016 trailers, while the originals are used for the TV commercials and features of the movie. "The Supermassive Black Hole" was shown at the beginning of the series 6 Doctor Who episode, "The Rebel Flesh", in the movie Twilight base ball scenes, in the series 2 Supernatural episode, "Hunted" and EA Sports games, FIFA 07.
