Muse of the Deity

Convergence, Deity's Muse's eagerly awaited new record is now available! Available at one of the bands sites: on-iTunes, Bandcamp and all forthcoming tourdesigns. Deity' s Muse is a melodious alternate band from Johannesburg, SA. They are a total juggler and have played at every big southernafican Rockmusictival.

In their home countries the band has opened venues for major bands like Dead Letter Circus (Aus), Return Me The Horizon (UK), Blinind Guardian (GER), Unearth (US), Protest The Hero (CAN), Knorkator (GER), Affiance (US), Monuments (UK), 36 Crazyfists (US), Karnivool (Aus), KesseracT (UK) and Blindside (SWE).

Deity' s Muse took part in their first global tour in October 2012, performing at world-famous locations such as The Viper Room in Hollywood and The 100 Club in London. The band split the rampfest major event in April 2013 with major players from around the globe, namely Raiffeisen Against, bringing me the horizon.

Deity' s Muse performed two shows with legendary Aussie rocks in September 2013, Dead Letter Circus at The Assembly in Cape Town and Krank'd Up Musikfestival in Johannesburg. The band performed for the first time at the Oppikoppi in August 2014. The Dead Letter Circus, the goddess' muse, went on a tour of Australia with Australia's heaviest people.

Deity' s Muse assisted Australia's heavyweight prom skirt giant Karnivool on their Johannesburg tour at the end of April 2016. In 2016, Deity's Muse also toured widely throughout southern Africa to promote her latest album. On the Johannesburg tour in April 2017, the band sponsored British pioneer promoters TesacT.

The band was listed on Metal Injection's "10 Great Southern Africa Band You Have To Check Out" in July 2017. Deity' s Muse then performed for the first time at the 2017 Euroblast International Euroblast Festivals at the Essigfabrik in Cologne, headed by Twelve Foot Ninja, Textures and Devin Townsend Project.

The eagerly awaited new band record Convergence was created by Dead Letter Circus guitar player Clint Vincent. Following a long pre-production period during which demonstrations were broadcast over the web between South Africa and Clint Vincent's Australian recording facility, the record was released at three different venues in late 2015.

Percussion and singing were played in the small city Klerksdorp in the Northwest provinces of South Africa. Guitar and basslines were taken at Deity's Muse Guitarrist, Yokim Pillay's house. Clint Vincent played and played other guitar programs at Vin James Music in Brisbane, Australia. It is a vibrant and hymnic practice in contemporary alternate music, characterised by excellent musicianship and powerful tuneful singing.

Deity''s Muse was awarded Album of the Year at the South African Metal Music Awards in July 2017.
