At 8:00 a.m. on September 10, a group of about 60 Burmese LIB 325 forces was in Mong Yai and the Nam Pawng Municipal Government-friendly Nam Pawng police patrolling just south of Wan Loi Yoi, Pa Karng Trakt, Mong Yai and Mong Yai Islands when a landmine explosion occurred.
