Make your new Miss Universe Myanmar 2017
Among glittering clothes, a herd of self-ie embroidery and a swimsuit stroll, the Miss Universe Myanmar 2017 contest had something for everyone. Hard-core enthusiasts who wear their best fashions and flocks of supporting family members gathered in the luxurious Novotel Hotel ball room on October 6 to see the third yearly contest, the winners of which will be representing Myanmar next year at the Miss Universe events.
Following an intricate opening with Myanmar's country hymn and a number of songs - from folksingers to Becky G's famous "Shower" tune - the 26 Miss Universe Myanmar 2017 participants stalked their best female members in kneelength ruched outfits. When the participants were reduced from the top 12 to the top 5, the spectators crowded into their places and waited for the evening's winners to be announced.
To Than Sin and Shwe Eain Si, who kept each other's palms in abeyance. Htet Htet Htun, the 2016 Miss Universe Myanmar champion, chose Zun Than Sin as the 2017 champion. It was Shwe Eain Si who had already won Miss Body Perfect and Miss Beautiful Hair from the Palmolive sponsors and was to take home a grand 2 million.
In 2014 Zun Than Sin was already in the top 5 and has already won K2 million for the Miss Healthy Skin and Miss Famous awards this year. Khant That, one of the greatest supporters of the contest - and sister of Sharr Htut Eaindra, Miss Myanmar Universe 2014 winner - just known as "Ted", was very pleased with the result.
Htut Eaindra, his sibling Sharr, who sweeps the land away in 2014 after she unleashes her wild "Smize" (smiling with her eyes), which made America's Next Top Model Tyra Banks stand up and rejoice, thinks that the rivalry will also have a beneficial effect on young women. One such young woman, now nine-year-old Little Miss Myanmar 2015 champion Shin Thant Phyu Sin, was particularly enthusiastic about this even.
As well as representative of Myanmar's natural beauties, the participants will be" role models" and participate in a series of public services events sponsored by Blue Diamond Cement, Myanmar Airlines and Palmolive Naturals. Next year sees his debut on the international Miss Universe contest.
