Mawlamyine to ye

Alaska for you

It is good news that Ye has daily trains to Dawei, Thanbyuzayat and Mawlamyine. -Ye is a small town in southern Mon State. They can be reached either from Mawlamyine or Dawei by road and rail. Regular daily buses from Bago, Mawlamyine, Kyaik Hto, Dawei and Myeik are also available. Right now I am stuck for information about buses from Mawlamyine to Ye.

Getting to Ye

It is good to know that Ye has train services to Dawei, Thanbyuzayat and Mawlamyine every day. It is about 8 h 30 min away from Dawei and 6 min away from Mawlamyine. There was no oral verification, but the cost was 1,000 and 1,200 kyats respectively, while the VIP grade was supposed to throw you back around 3,000.

10:30 am to Dawei and 06:00 am and 14:00 pm to Mawlamyine - but please have a look! The Ye has at least 10 sailings per night northbound and stops in all larger cities to Yangon, which includes Thanbyuzayat, Mawlamyine, Thaton and Bago. The busses depart from outside their office on the May Yu Street route between KBZ and Shwe San Daw Pagoda to the southward direction, where we found only two departure times a week to Dawei, starting at 06:30 and 21:00.

This lonely firm that sells Southern ticketing is located one brick east of the square in a small alley. The cost of Dawei is 9,000 kyats. Busses to the north run 3,000 for Mawlamyine and 8,500 for Yangon. Much coaches are fans -- just go to the cashier to see which are the exits of the A/C; they are the same as well.

{\a6} (The firm we were checking had 07:15 and 16:15 aircon buses). The aircon busses are fashionable and convenient and stop once in Thanbyuzayat for a rest during the four-hour, 155-kilometre long journey to Mawlamyine. It is a little further, maybe four and a half hrs, but it is the more attractive ride of the two.

Coming from Dawei, you will be dropped off on the road eastwards of Ye City. It'?s 1,000 kyats to take a motorboat to the city.

Very little is known about the story, but apparently it was an important place for the Karen National United Military and the BoB.

Very little is known about the story, but apparently it was an important place for the Karen National United Military and the BoB. It' a drowsy city with about 40,000 people. Trolleys used on the route between Dawei and Ye are narrower than the others.

By the time the military built this part, they just didn't have enough manpower to make the route broad enough. They can be accessed either from Mawlamyine or Dawei by highway and train. Dining is clean. However, most people say that it is good to dine on the streets.
