Advice for booking a flight to and from different towns - Chiang Mai Forum
We' re planing our 4th 4-week trip to Thailand and want to leave Chiang Mai and go home from Phuket. If you have travel to and from different towns - Momondo has tried it, but it seems really costly. Take a look at Qatar, I think they have connections to/from CNX and HKT.

For four week in October the cost of the flights from Copenhagen to Chiang Mai and from Phuket to Copenhagen is about 5000 DKK. There are two bus stations on the way to Chiang Mai, but air travel time is appropriate.
Staying in Bangkok can be an asset, as you can use the immigrant transits upon arrival in Thailand and the waiting lines are usually shorten. November can be as high as DKK 5500 and the price will be really high if you remain over the New Year. Then you will still find less expensive options with other carriers.
They do not say when you will be travelling, but I think these are reasonable and you can buy them directly from the carrier, which makes many things much simpler. I' m guessing you could get tickets for 4000 DKK if you managed to beat a sell, but such tariffs seem to be for cards all on the airline¨s proprietary pay.
Here the choices seem to be Thai, Qatar and Singapore Air. Please be aware that non-Thai carriers do not offer daily off-season services to/from either of the two destinations, so you should use the 5-day windows permitted by Matrix. To get the best price you have to be adaptable with your itinerary.
This is something I do often, but always from the airline's website. It' s multi-city you are after when you book your tickets. Please do not include a third person in your booking if it is not necessary. What other carriers would you consider? Many European to Bangkok carriers offer many connections to Chiang Mai or Phuket (and many other destinations), you have a wide range for local travel.
Ita software and Google Flights has a multi-city feature that scans various carriers for your destination and time. You can either make a booking or make a reservation directly with the respective carrier. In Bangkok, if they do not travel directly to Chiang Mai, they will either switch with the same carrier, for example Thai Airways, or with a carrier such as Bangkok Airways.
Air Asia is flying non-stop from Chiang Mai to Phuket. As Christmas and New Year is high season, the price is high and the uptime is low. Will you consider a trip back to Bangkok and then buy your own local ticket? Self-connection in Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I found a decent ride with Lufthansa and went to their own website.
Simply buy a plane back from Copenhagen to Bangkok and fly to Chiang Mai>Phuket>Bangkok on budget airlines like Air Asia, Nok Air or Thai Lion. Allow yourself two nights in Bangkok to avoid the tragedy of the link between Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airport especially for your home trip.
Bangkok> Chiang Mai and Phuket>Bangkok are the busiest itineraries in the land and the fares are high.
