Review of Rangoon Tea House, Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar
I' ve been there for Mont Hnin Khar, the Burmese tradition for all the time. This was the most expensive Mont Hnin Khar I ever had, but I had the feeling it was really something there. It is a tasty and inexpensive place with a stylish atmosphere and outstanding, pleasant and nice people.
Are you a traveler who wants to try first class Myanmar cuisine in an entertaining and welcoming environment - go here! It has no connection to Rangoon either, as the meals offered are either predominantly Hindi or an uninspirational merger of touristically known locals. This meal was a surprise, because the curry we ordered was more of Burma than of India.
In fact, I would have preferred the latter and would have picked something else if they had only taken the trouble to include it in the meal. It was a dull and not to be mentioned to you. We had a good meal, but the material couldn't tell us that the meal we had ordered already contained broth, so we ended up with two bowl of broth each - broth and a bowl of mushogg.

Myanmar: Rangoon protest walk scheduled for October 29
The US embassy in Rangoon announced that a pro-government walk will take place in the German state on Sunday, October 29. Protests are scheduled to begin at 12:00 (local time) south of Shwedagon Pagoda near the Shwe Gone Daing overpass. The demonstrators will then walk along Kabar Aye Pagoda Road to the town hall.
Anticipate obstructions along the way. This rally is in aid of Burma's police force. HRGs have charged the Myanmar military with having committed acts of crime against humanitarianism and possibly ethnical clean-ups during their actions against the Rohingya people, involving gangstery, torturing, destroying tens of thousand houses and murdering civilised people.
Burma's military began its operation against the Rohingya people after a military assault on Burma's military on August 25. People in Rangoon are encouraged to take precautionary measures to prevent any demonstration and to allow extra time to traveld. In general, Myanmar residents are encouraged to stay alert and follow all orders from the Myanmar government.
Because of the bad safety situation, some of Myanmar's West coast government and agencies are advising their people against unnecessary trips to Rakhine state - with the exceptions of the Kyaukpyu, Ramree, Munaung, Toungup, Thandwe (including the Ngapali and Gwa resorts ) and the Bangladesh state.
