In Kyauktan township, some townships have no access to electoral rolls.

Locals in some Kyauktan township townships communities in the Yangon region were unaware of the forthcoming electoral process and the electoral roll notices. Mr Ohn Myint, Union Secretary for Stockbreeding, Fisheries and Countryside Reform, will stand as a representative of the governing Party of the Union for Solidarity and Growth in the Kyauktan municipality electoral district.

According to a Shansu Win from Shwe Pyauk villages, most villagers in his Shwe Pyauk Village-tract villages do not know how to vote. "But I didn't check the electoral rolls. Earlier, I chose Shansu Vilage Monastery," said Hla Win. Whilst most of the natives in this town know nothing about elections, others are not interested in elections because they fight for life every day.

"We are too preoccupied this year to review the electoral rolls. We' re not free because we all have to do our job," said Mya Win, another inhabitant of Shansu Villag. Locals from some Myakaing Village-tract towns also said they didn't know anything about the electoral rollings.

A total of five contestants will be competing in the Kyauktan Township Constituency.
