Whenever they are found, all korat can reach their pedigree as far as Thailand.

You are a part of a normal race and have never been crossed out to another race as part of their evolution or to make another race. Wise and bossy Korat is patronising. They like to remain nearby and don't let them down for the visitor. Awareness of this tendency before you get a Korat, just in case a kitten would be following you all the while, would upset you.

The Korat is not a maverick. If a Korat is often abandoned or ignored, it can lead to behavioral issues such as anger or fear of segregation. That doesn't mean that grown-ups can' t change their affection. Litterbirds in new houses quickly adjust and become close to their new families.

At childbirth, the eye of a Korat is azure. When it ripens, the eye turns to succulent greenery. When cats are two to four years old, the eye is the bright red for which the race is known. In contrast to some races, the fur has its silver-blue colour from the period of childbirth, although cats may have a so-called "ghost tabby" mark.

Nosebands, limbs and footpaths of the Korat vary from deep blues to azure. They will appreciate the attention of a respectful kid and they love to play and learn moves. As with many kittens originating in Southeast Asia, Korat prefers other Korat. You can get along with other kittens and bitches, but they want a place of honour.

However, the Korat does like to be with someone, and if he does spend a great deal of spare human effort with another pet or pet, they probably become good mates.
